Glass Aftercare Photovoltaic product range is extensive the range of
range of products all of which meet the requirements for Feed in Tariffs
(FiT) which were introduced in April 2010 as the method for
funding renewable energy on buildings.you will find some information
about FiT in some depth on the site.
Our experience in large scale envelope contracts gives us the practical
knowledge to ensure that the same level of expertise and attention to
detail that is necessary in facade pruct installation is transferred to
the BIPV.
Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) is the fastest growing sector of
the PV market. The principle of BIPV is that PV panels (or modules) are
incorporated into the building envelope substituting standard glass and
other cladding materials with glass/glass laminates encapsulating
Photovoltaic cells within.
The modules are then incorporated into the building façade or roof
where they generate electricity at the ‘point of use’ thereby maximising
energy efficiency by eliminating transmission losses incurred when
electricity is supplied via the national grid.
